Intergenerational Mini Golf - Calling all children of God who like to mini golf! Sunday, May 19th we'll meet at the Windy Hill Sports Complex for snacks, fellowship, and a round of mini golf together. Cost is $10. All ages welcome. Let Carlisle know if you're interested!

Cruise-In - The May Memorial Annual Cruise-In will be on Sunday, April 14 from 3-6 pm. The rain date is April 21. Family Fun! Explore classic cars and trucks. Share stories with the owners who love them. Enjoy period music and trivia. T-shirts made on site. Light supper served. (free to exhibitors). Donations to Youth mission projects. Easter Sunday Schedule. Everyone is invited to join us for breakfast which will be served at 9:15. Sunday School will be at 9:45 as usual. The Children’s Egg Hunt will be at 10:00 a.m. and Worship will begin at 11:00 a.m.
Children’s Trip to Sky Zone Trampoline Park – March 10 after church at 2:00 p.m.
February 29 at 10:00a.m. Sr. Adult Trip to the Virginia Baptist Historical Society, at the University of Richmond. Meet at the church at 9:00 a.m. to Carpool together. The collection only has space for 25 people, so get your spot now! RSVP to the church office and let us know if you need a ride, or would be willing to take some additional people in your car. We’ll have lunch together afterwards, and your lunch is the only cost.
We’ll leave together after church, stop for a quick lunch, and head to Massanutten for a 3:30 p.m. tube time! We’ll finish up at 5:00 p.m. and get back to May Memorial by early evening. Pastor Carlisle has already bought tickets, if you have RSVP’d but she’ll try to get another if you are interested, but haven’t signed up yet.

Sunday, December 17th – May Memorial Christmas Pageant at 11 AM
On Sunday, December 17, the Adult Choir will present the cantata A New and Glorious Morning. The cantata will also include our youth and children (and many adults) as they narrate the story of the birth of Jesus. If your child would like to participate and can attend that morning, please let Carlisle know by December 2.
Holiday Tea - The May Memorial Holiday Tea is back! On Sunday, December 10 following the 11:00 service, Afternoon Tea will be served in the Fellowship Hall. The tea will feature 2 types of scones, multiple tea sandwiches and savories, and desserts. The cost is $15 per person, and there are 36 spaces available. RSVP with payment by December 7 to Annie Sparrow.
Saturday, December 9th - Watch the Powhatan Christmas Parade at May Memorial Baptist Church! The parade is at 3:00. Cookies and hot cider will be served as we welcome the community to our front lawn.
Cookie Exchange - This year May Memorial is hosting a Holiday Cookie Exchange! Bring yourself and 4 dozen (or more) of your favorite homemade Christmas Cookies. Plan to share 2 dozen with each other and come away with a variety of goodies for your Holiday Cheer! A second 2 dozen will be used to support our Powhatan Christmas Parade Cookie table! We will have food, drink, and of course, lots and lots of cookies! We will meet from 6-8pm in the Fellowship Hall on Friday, December 8. RSVP to Annie Sparrow. Hope to see you there!
Sunday, December 3rd– 4 Octave Handbell Concert
We welcome the Handbell choir from Saint Mark’s United Methodist Church at 4 PM. This group is directed by Selina Heslep. Refreshments will be served following the event.
The Bethlehem Market will be set up adjacent to the Commons Area in early December. Here you will find handmade goods by Christians in Bethlehem and throughout the Holy Land at very reasonable prices.
The Pilgrimage to the Holy Land in April has been redirected to Greece in a trip “In the Steps of Paul.” We will visit Philippi, Ephesus, Corinth, and even the Island of Patmos. If you are interested in this trip there will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, November 28 at 6:00 p.m. in the Koinonia Room.

It’s Almost Fall Festival Time! Just like last year, May Memorial will be hosting the Fall Festival in the Scottville Pavilion on Halloween Night – Tuesday, October 31 from 5-7:30 pm. Games, Hot Dogs and Costumes!
Quarterly Church Business Meeting – Sunday, October 15. We will have a wonderful lunch provided after worship, and the business meeting will be after the meal.
