For the Beauty of the Earth – On Sunday, September 14 we will worship on the front lawn. You can come in your golf cart, bring a lawn chair, or sit in a chair provided. It will be a casual worship service in which we remember This Is Our Father’s World.
Rachael Circle Meeting
Calling all ladies! The Rachael Circle will begin on September 11. We will meet at 3 Crosses at 11:00 a.m.
If you would like to be involved in mission projects that benefit our church and community, come out and be a part of the Rachael Circle! We recently completed a back-to-school backpack project which benefitted many children here in our Powhatan schools. We work with the Christmas Mother, Hope House, the Free Clinic and other projects that come along.
We meet monthly on the second Thursday.

The return of Wednesday night meals and programs will be September 10! - On September 10 we will be having fried chicken, provided by the Sisters in Faith Class! On September 17 we will be having Breakfast for Dinner, provided by Ed Utt and the Men’s group. If you can help cooking on the 17th, please contact Ed Utt.
A new Bible study based on the popular historical drama The Chosen will begin Wednesday, September 10. The study will be held at 10:00 a.m. and will be held in the Koinonia Sunday School Classroom.
Sunday, August 24 May Memorial will have their annual church picnic with the Richmond Jazz Band. 5:30 p.m. on the front lawn. There will be food, bring sides and desserts.
Annual Church Meeting – Wednesday, August 20. The meal will be Johns Bailey’s BBQ Chicken. Reservations will begin in August.
Vacation Bible School will be on August 4 to 7 from 9 am to 12 pm. Registration online will be available on this website soon. More details coming soon.

The children and youth will go bowling on June 29 following worship.
The quarterly meeting for June will be on Sunday the 22nd following worship. There will also be a meal.
The senior adults will gather to join in playing board games in the fellowship hall. All are welcome!

Senior Adult Trip - April 24 - Day Trip to Wilton Hall and Gardens in Richmond. We’ll tour the house and grounds and have lunch.
Celebrate Easter with May Memorial on April 20. Sunday School will be from 9:45 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Refreshments and Egg Hunt will be at 10:30 a.m. Worship will be at 11:00 a.m.

Daycare Book Drive!! We are having a book drive for the Daycare. Bring new or gently used books to worship on Sunday, March 30. Books should be for preschool age children, specifically ages 2-4. Contact Maryvel Firda with any questions.
Sr. Adult Activity – Monday, March 24th from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Air Fryer Cooking Class with Debbie Elam. We will cook our own lunch. Registration forms & information is in the Commons Area.
The church business meeting will be on Wednesday, January 29 at 6:15. This will be following the mid-week meal (reservations are required for the meal).

On Christmas Eve, May Memorial will hold their annual candlelight service. The service will start at 5:00 p.m.
The May Memorial choir will present How Great Our Joy, The Carols of Christmas, during worship on December 22nd at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary.
Wednesday, December 18
Join us for an evening filled with festive music as Sandra performs classic Christmas carols and holiday favorites. Bring your family and friends to celebrate this joyous season. The concert will be at 7:00 p.m. Sandra’s self-published book Grounds for Living will be available for purchase and the proceeds will go to the Powhatan Coalition of Churches.
The Children’s Christmas Pageant will take place on December 15th, during the Sunday School hour.
